Welcome to E7 Flora & Fauna!
🌳
HAM Flora & Fauna (WWFF - World Wide Flora & Fauna) is a global program that promotes amateur radio activities from protected natural areas. The goal of the program is to raise awareness of nature conservation through amateur radio contacts made from national parks, nature reserves, and other ecologically significant locations. E7 Flora & Fauna - E7FF represents the Bosnian-Herzegovinian branch of this worldwide program. Radio amateurs activate protected locations across Bosnia and Herzegovina, allowing fellow operators worldwide to "hunt" them and collect points for diplomas and awards. Whether you are an experienced operator or just starting your amateur radio journey, we invite you to explore the beauty of our nature through radio waves!

E7FF – Radio Amateurs in the Service of Nature Conservation
What is HAM Flora & Fauna (WWFF)?
HAM Flora & Fauna, also known as World Wide Flora & Fauna (WWFF), is a global amateur radio program that combines a passion for radio communication with nature conservation. The idea behind this program is simple yet powerful – to motivate radio amateurs worldwide to activate and operate from protected natural areas such as national parks, nature reserves, and other ecologically significant locations. This program was created to raise awareness about the preservation of natural resources through amateur radio activities. Operators participating in the program help promote natural beauty while enabling radio amateurs worldwide to "hunt" them and establish contacts from special locations.
E7 Flora & Fauna – Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Nature Radio Wave
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country rich in pristine natural beauty – from dense forests, rivers, and lakes to high mountain ranges. As part of the global WWFF community, E7 Flora & Fauna allows both domestic and foreign radio amateurs to discover the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina through radio waves. The E7FF program includes a large number of protected areas, including national parks, nature reserves, and special biodiversity conservation zones. By activating these locations, radio amateurs not only promote ecological awareness but also enable fellow operators worldwide to earn points and diplomas through contacts with special E7FF references.
How Does the WWFF Program Work?
The HAM Flora & Fauna program has two main participant groups:
1. Activators
Activators are radio amateurs who travel to protected natural locations, set up their radio stations, and make contacts with as many radio amateurs worldwide as possible. These activities are often adventurous, involving hiking, camping, and operating in nature with minimal equipment.
To have an activation recognized, it is necessary to:
- ✅ Operate from a location listed in the E7FF reference database.
- ✅ Make at least 44 valid contacts.
- ✅ Follow WWFF program rules and submit logs to the organizers.
Hunters are radio amateurs who attempt to establish contact with activators operating from protected areas. Their goal is to collect as many different E7FF (and global WWFF) references as possible, thereby qualifying for special diplomas and recognitions. Hunters use different frequencies and modes, and contacts with activators can be made using CW, SSB, digital modes, and other communication methods.
Why Participate in the E7 Flora & Fauna Program?
Key reasons to participate in the E7 Flora & Fauna program are:
- 📡 Nature Promotion – Every activation highlights the importance of preserving natural resources.
- 📡 Challenge and Adventure – Operating from remote and pristine natural areas offers a unique experience.
- 📡 Amateur Radio Community – The program connects radio amateurs worldwide through a shared mission.
- 📡 Diplomas and Awards – Activators and hunters can earn prestigious WWFF diplomas.
How to Join?
Whether you want to activate protected locations or hunt contacts with activators, the E7 Flora & Fauna program is open to all radio amateurs. All you need is a radio station, enthusiasm, and a love for nature!
